The village hall, called Snells Hall, hosts a wide variety of events, including weddings, adults’ and children’s parties, dancing lessons, polling days, meetings, conferences, shows and plays.

The hall has four function rooms and a kitchen:

  • Main hall and stage, with PA system including hearing loop, projector and screen and wired lighting bars
  • Gallery, with seating for 20 at a meeting table
  • Foyer, with bar
  • Committee room, suitable for smaller meetings

A disabled-accessible WC is available.

WiFi is provided in all areas

On a nice day or evening, the large garden is a secluded safe and pleasant area for barbecues, teas etc. The main hall, garden, kitchen and disabled toilet are all wheelchair-accessible and all areas of the hall have wireless internet access. The hall also has its own car park.

Scale of Charges for East Hendred residents (Includes Main Hall, Kitchen & Garden)
Charges for non-East Hendred residents are shown in brackets.
Children’s parties: Age 3 to 12 years, up to 4 hours, up to 6pm: £37 (£45) after 6pm: £55 (£60)
Teenagers’ parties: Age 13 to 17 – by special agreement, with adult supervision – up to 4 hours: £90 (£110)
Adults’ daytime parties (including Christenings and baby showers – up to 6 hours:  £90 (£110)
Adults’ evening Parties,Dances, Discos: (6pm to midnight): £120 (£150)
Additional time (all kinds of event): £14 per hour
Bazaars, craft fairs, fundraisers etc: All day to 6pm: £70 (£120)
Commercial concerts, shows etc up to 6 hours: £200
Corporate meetings, conferences, training days up to 6 hours: £200
Weddings: Friday noon to Sunday noon: £800 (includes use of all facilities)
Hire of cutlery and crockery (90 place settings): £25 (No charge for East Hendred residents and organisations)
Cleaning by Warden following a wedding or party: £50
Scouting organisations’ sleepovers: £50 per night + £2 per person per night

Committee Room, Gallery or Foyer (Including use of kitchen): £8 per hour

Main Hall: Approximately 12.5 x 8 metres (41′ x 27′) plus stage.
Equipment includes 12 rigid tables, 20 trestle tables and 120 chairs
Overhead high definition projector with screen (HDMI interface)
Committee Room: Approximately 4 x 3 metres (14′ x 11′)
suitable for meetings up to about 14 people
Gallery: Approximately 9.5 x 4 metres (31′ x 13′)
Suitable for meetings, up to about 20 people
Kitchen: Hob and oven, heated cabinet, fridge, hot water urn, sink with hot and cold water, microwave
